Summary

Receiver:

Two prototype receivers are pretty much ready for integration test.

Correlators:

1.      J. Rapadas sent Derek a new quote, total $8K for 2 each of biased mixer and zero biase Schottky diode mixer. Derek also got a quote from Miteq for single balanced bias able mixer, $2,410 for two, 120 days ARO. Marki will provide us a zero biased mixer for free.

2.      The prototype was passed through the customs yesterday and will be delivered to our office today.

60cm dish:

Dr. Ong will generate a quote and send to us next week.

Far field range measurement:

C.J. Ma and K.Y. Lin made a second round of FFR measurement, the 3 side lobes they got are - 17dBc (1.2 degree), -21dBc (2.2degree) and -30dBc (3.7 degree). They plan to measure the 2D beam pattern next time. More details in this measurement , please read the attachment.

Hexapod Mount:

A kick-off meeting with Vertex has been held last week in Germany, Philippe will visit Vertex in every 3 weeks to monitor work progress and its performance. The PDR meeting will be held in Aug. 26, 27 in Germany, and the DDR will be held in December in Taipei. More details in minutes, please read the attachment.

Cost review:

In response with the cost review request by Fred, Derek has come up with a cost reduction proposal for correlator. For details, please read the attachment.

Action items:

2.      Bob/ Bob will call Todd Gaier to track down the status of JPL's quote for 28 LNA.

3.      Huei/ In order to work on the packaging and cold test for the 28LNA this summer , Huei will send Todd Gaier a name list of visitors to JPL.

4.      Huei/ Huei will follow up to pin down the layout of the InP HEMT with TRW ASAP.
