Summary

Correlator:
1.The delay line problem of the first unit will be fixed up and send to AT by end of this week.
2.The modified design for 4GHz version read out chip will be submitted to CIC for wafer run.
3. Jeff spoke with Jeff rapadas about a contact to improve the correlator cell (shrink it, flatter response, full 20 GHz bandwidth) and then to develop a detailed, modular design for the interconnection of cells. He will prepare quotes for cells in lots of 350 and for a housed array of 16 cells, with no interconnection or amplification elements included in that array.

Platform & mount:
1. We had a telecon yesterday to go over the specs and Vertex's report on hexapod mount. All agreed we should start contract negotiation with Vertex ASAP, Bob will collect all comments on Vertex's report and price from Philippe and Mike, and wrap up something to show how to open negotiation with Vertex on technical requirements , price , lead time, operation, maintenance, etc.
2.As for prototype mount, we agreed to give the contract to Sydney Engineering Co., Mike will collect all purchasing required documents from Sydney Engineering and send to Paul.

MMIC
TRW finally agreed to release the modeling and device data to us, Bob will send them to Huei as soon as he got. That's an significant step on developing the w-band HEMT LNA.

LO/IF:

Machining and assembling work is still on going, Prof. Chu's students and West are working on that. The IF amplifiers should be delivered to us by mid-Nov.

Receivers:

Lab starts running the cryogenic receiver #1 and it looks good. We still waiting for the transition and wave guide, Warwick will help to check it with Russell. Mingtang has figured out how many power supply we need for prototype. Homine is working on the electronic control part.

Site:
No progress on the leasing agreement for site, Bob is still waiting for the responsible guy back from south pole. He will find a local firm (engineering architecture) to prepare a plan and drawing for site construction and submit to MLO for approval. Bob need to figure out what available at site to satisfy the power requirement .

Site visit:
The site visit for Taida to AMiBA/CosPA will take place on 1, Feb., 2002. As usual we need to submit annual report in prior of that visit, and give oral report as well as post and lab tour for visitors.
