Summary
Correlator:
Due to the Mederidian correlator
unit has insufficient delay line, Jeff will send it back to Jeff Rapadas to fix up.
Platform
& mount:
We should go ahead to do the
mount & platform that Bob is pushing with Vertex, because we could get
more money necessary once we get things going. The immediate goal is to get
as much as we can go something like 7 elements, and then get some result and
try go back to get more money. But we still need to review on what we have
done. Fred really feel Philippe should be the one handling mainly with what
Bob's putting input, because Bob is just far enough things to do already.
Besides, Philippe is in France, it is much easier for him to go Germany.
MMIC
Joyce is pushing on to get the model for us; Bob will follow up to call her tomorrow.
LO/IF:
Prof. Chu already figured out the material list for LO & IF, he will give it Paul later. He also finish all design for LO & IF, and start machining now. He expects to get the DRO in Dec. that is the only missing material he is waiting for.
Receivers:
Mingtang updates that they have not been able to cool down the receiver yet, they will fix up the problem of compressor shortly. The cold parts will be ready once they got the AT coupler and wave guide, but they already got all warm parts of IF in our lab. Once got the enclosures of IF & Lo, they will integrate them into system. Electrical engineering is working on the power supplier for the system. He thinks they should able to work out something in January. Mal says that Russell will ship the first coupler of 60mm section to Mingtang next Monday, and the second one is still under machining.
